The whole world gathers and celebrates during these special days. Let's get to know how the world celebrates some of these holidays.
Winter Holidays
This is commonly known around the world as the Christmas Season Holidays. Each country definitely has their own way of celebrating this holiday. But usually, in the United States, Canada, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, France, Asia, Africa and mostly of other countries the main attractions during this holiday are lights, carols, Christmas trees, and Christmas decors like the wreaths and mistletoes. With most Christian countries, the holiday reaches its climax during the midnight mass. And of course, just the mention of Christmas would mean gift giving and would ring a bell to kids for Santa Claus. Christmas is marked in the calendar as December 25.
Summer Holidays
Usually, this means long school breaks and vacation. People usually take a break and plan for short vacation trips or excursions. It is also the time for grabbing your swimwear and play under the sun. The beaches are also attractions for these holidays especially for tropical countries. In some part of the world, they also mark the start of the sun's descent in winter into a festive celebration. This is the celebration of the summer solstice or the Feast of St. John and it culminates in June.
Religious Holidays
Usually, the holidays that are being celebrated in the whole world are in observance of religious activities. These religious holidays could be Baha'i holidays, Buddhist holidays, Celtic, Norse and Neopagan holidays, Christian holidays, Hindu or Muslim holidays. One of these religious holidays is Ramadan for Muslim. And because the Muslims use Islamic calendar and this calendar is lunar, Ramadam falls at different times of the year. Muslims usually fast on this holiday. Another one is Easter for the Christians. This day falls on Sunday. For some people, this holiday is known for Easter eggs and bunnies and jellybeans. But most Christian countries, they celebrate the resurrection of Christ on this day. Wherever you are in the world, you need to know these worldwide holidays. Anyway, it is just during these days that the entire world join to observe these events and celebrate.
